Edgar Allan Poe (January 19, 1809 – October 7, 1849) was a united states writer, poet, editor and literary critic, considered area of the American Romantic Movement. Best known for his tales of mystery and the macabre, Poe was among the list of earliest American practitioners on the short story and is definitely the inventor of one's detective-fiction genre. He is further credited with creatingthe very first well-known American writer to try andshortly after his father abandoned everyone.
