Unlike america version, which normally has three judges (Nigel Lythgoe, Mia Michaels and Adam Shankman) accompanied by a guest judge, with the Canadian version you will find four judges: Jean-Marc Généreux and Tré Armstrong when the two main judges, alongside two guest judges. Mary Murphy, Mia Michaels, Dan Karaty and Kenny Ortega have all been guest judges on the united states and Canadian versions. Also, unlike north america version, the judges turn up on stage before going to the judges' panel whereas in the usa version, these are already seated as soon as the show begins. When cutting people with the competition, Jean-Marc announces the departing female while Tré announces the departing male for that first 5 results shows whereas in the united states version Nigel announces the departing contestants, male or female.

Many choreographers within the US version also have choreographed about the Canadian show. Mia Michaels, Tyce Diorio, Tony Meredith and Melanie LaPatin, US Season 1 contestant Blake McGrath, US Season 2 winner Benji Schwimmer, and Lil' C have all choreographed at one point or another. Plus, Stacey Tookey, Gustavo Vargas and Sean Cheesman, choreographers on the Canadian version, can be implementing the US version too.
